India–Sri Lanka Maritime Boundary Agreement (1974)

The 1974 Agreement between India and Sri Lanka delimited the maritime boundary in the Palk Strait region and placed Katchatheevu on the Sri Lankan side. TLTE does not call for Katchatheevu to be 'returned' to India. The 1974 treaty must always be cited together with the 1976 agreement; citing only one is a misrepresentation.
