India–Sri Lanka Maritime Boundary Agreement (1976)

The 1976 Agreement extended the 1974 boundary, defined the Gulf of Mannar and Bay of Bengal segments, and committed both states to traditional fishing-rights protections in the wider area. TLTE always pairs 1974 with 1976; treating either as standalone misrepresents the legal frame.
