Press freedom — at-risk Tamil journalism

பத்திரிகை சுதந்திரம்

A briefing on CPJ / RSF / IFJ press-freedom monitoring of Sri Lanka and UK Media Freedom Coalition follow-through.

Not a name list of at-risk journalists, not an op-sec how-to, not a SLAPP claim.

Credentialed monitoring

CPJ, RSF and IFJ maintain credentialed press-freedom monitoring of Sri Lanka. TLTE cites their monitoring; TLTE never names an at-risk journalist.

UK Media Freedom Coalition

The UK is a founding member of the Media Freedom Coalition. Concrete UK follow-through on Sri Lanka cases is an open question for FCDO ministers.

Refuge framework + SLAPP

UK refugee protection and the Defamation Act 2013 SLAPP provisions are the lawful routes for journalist protection. TLTE does not provide op-sec advice — that routes to Access Now.
